1000 Litre Plastic Bunded Oil Storage Tank
A plastic bunded bulk liquid storage tank with 1000 litres (220 Galls) capacity. It is literally a tank within a tank.
Manufactured from high grade polyethylene this British made Atlantis tank is corrosion resistant, has high impact strength and is UV resistant. All Atlantis tanks are CE marked and comply with the latest European Standards
What is a bunded tank?
The liquid is stored in the primary or inner tank and the outer tank forms the required bund with capacity for 110% of the primary tank's capacity. This tank is suitable for the storage of heating oil, kerosene, diesel, waste oils, water and many other liquids. In the event of a spill, surplus fuel will safely and securely by stored within the outer tank an environmental pollution incident will be averted.
They are manufactured using Polyethylene and are moulded using a rotational moulding process which produces a stress-free product. The Polymer used includes additives which make it resistant to harmful UV rays from the sun and with correct installation and general on-going care, these products have a long lifetime ahead of them with very little or no maintenance required. They are extremely robust and very resilient and are able to withstand the most extreme conditions from the elements.
The following features come as standard with the tank:
- 2" fill point c/w a mechanical overfill prevention device
- 1" bottom outlet
- 4" inspection lid into the primary tank
- 18" lockable bund lid on the outer tank
Optional extras include:
- Top outlet to replace bottom outlet (please contact our sales office if this option is required)

- Clock face gauge
- Bottom outlet fitting kit
Full installation instructions are supplied with the tank and we recommend a base size which extends 300mm all the way round the tank.
Example: if the tank dimensions were 2000mm length x 1500mm width - we would recommend a base size of 2600mm length x 2100mm width.
This Oil Tank must be installed in accordance to OFTEC guidelines, by an OFTEC Registered installer or similarly competent person. Alltank and the manufacturer will not be responsible for oil tank installations which do not comply with these requirements.
